About Gimlet

Gimlet Systems is a growing technology venture that designs and integrates active safety, shared control, and adaptive autonomy systems for manned and unmanned vehicles. Developed at MIT by Sterling Anderson and Karl Iagnemma, Gimlet's patented technology enables personalized autonomy — control assistance that adapts to the preference and performance of the human and the capabilities of the machine.

Gimlet's technology has been extensively tested on both manned and unmanned ground vehicles — from a human-driven Jaguar S-Type to a teleoperated Kawasaki Mule. It has been the subject of several academic publications, four patents, and numerous print and online publications worldwide.
